EVENT: Firefighters’ Ride for Cancer, May 18, Burrard and Robson in Vancouver

On May 18, 2011, the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services Band will be supporting our fellow firefighters as they “ride to Seattle” — on stationary bikes — to raise funds to fight cancer.

The riders go for hours, but we will just be there during the lunch hour, serenading them from noon to 1 pm.

The location is the corner of Burrard and Robson in downtown Vancouver.

We recently found this website with a number of national anthem arrangements. Each one is available as a midi-style mp3 so we can hear the tune, along with a six-part arrangement presented as a downloadable PDF.
