Looking forward to tonight: we’ll be performing during the BC Lions’ half-time show as part of a big massed-band (lots of bands playing together) to honour military and paramilitary personnel.
See you at the game!
Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services Band
Musical firefighters and friends, serving Metro Vancouver since 1927!
This year’s Chinese New Year in Vancouver’s Chinatown will be the biggest one ever in its 40-year history, and we’ll be there again this year, too!
Full details on the parade are here: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/mobileweb/2013/02/15/vancouver-chinese-new-year-parade-2013_n_2690382.html
Make sure you view the photo gallery from last year, too. Lots of amazing colours and costumes, and we even made the 14th frame! (Hint: we usually walk just in front of the fire trucks.)
Gung Hey Fat Choi!
Join us as we support the Burnaby Christmas Bureau’s inaugural Christmas Angel Breakfast on Nov 30, 2012! Bring a new unwrapped toy or cash for a delicious pancake breakfast in the ballroom or a continental-breakfast-to-go. The VFRS Band will be playing from 7 am to…we’re not sure. 8 am, maybe? BONUS: Jim Byrnes and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will also be there!
