EVENT: December — Bright Nights in Stanley Park

SnowmanEvery year, fire fighters from all around the Metro Vancouver region come together to create a Christmas wonderland in Stanley Park, called “Bright Nights in Stanley Park.” Located by the Stanley Park Train Station, the area is all lit up with festive lights and decorations galore!

We have the honour of performing every year for the preview night (invitation only), held for volunteers who set up the display and their families. It’s also the media night, featuring Vancouver’s own Randene Neill of Global BC TV as the MC and Honorary Band Member!

While this preview night is never a public event, and we don’t play during the public nights, we thought you’d like to know about it anyway. As the band plays “unplugged” for this outdoor-often-in-the-rain event, one of our “electrified” members (the bass player) took pictures and video for us this year. With any luck, we got something we can share, so stay… uh… tuned!

Better yet, come on out during the month of December, enjoy the lights, the food, the music, and most definitely the Christmas Train, and help Metro Vancouver’s fire fighters support the Burn Fund while you’re at it! Donations are appreciated for just viewing the decorations, or, better yet, get your Christmas Train tickets here!
