VIDEO: Urban Search and Rescue has a new training centre!

On May 5, 2011, Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services (VFRS) and the City of Vancouver, together with Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), BC Ambulance Service, and the Vancouver Police Department, held a grand opening ceremony for the new USAR training centre.

Of course, the band was there!

EVENT: Ocean Concrete Open House, April 30, 2011

Come on out to Ocean Concrete on Granville Island on April 30, 2011! There will be gigantic concrete trucks the kids can check out, tours, displays, and much more for the whole family to enjoy. In addition, we’ll be playing (weather permitting) for a while around lunchtime, so bring your clapping hands and tapping toes and join us for some springtime musical fun!

Pictures from the St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2011

Here are some pictures from the 2011 St. Patrick’s Day Parade on a gorgeous spring day in downtown Vancouver!

Gump Cup 2011

The Gump Cup is an annual, friendly hockey match between the best teams the fire departments and the police departments have to put on the ice. It’s also a fund raiser for selected charities.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2011

Once again, we will be in the annual Celticfest St. Patrick’s Day Parade! The event takes place on March 20, 2011, starting at 11 am at Howe and Drake and marching NORTH along Howe Street to Georgia and Granville.
