At the risk of appearing narcissistic, here’s one last video someone else (TheProvinceOnline) made about the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services‘ 125th Anniversary Event in Gastown on June 12, 2011.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhU1qDN7mPIThis is one’s especially fun for us, the members of the VFRS Band (aka the “firefightersband,” our online handle), because it not only contains video clips from a wide variety of the day’s events, it also uses audio clips from a number of our different tunes — often as the songs happened “live” in the background during their filming of various displays and activities throughout the day.
Might seem obvious, but, seeing as we either were playing, or not playing and looking at the displays ourselves, we never got that perspective of checking everything out while the music played in the background, so it was pretty neat to see-and-hear this video!
We had a blast that day, and hope you did, too.
(How about that gorgeous old fire-powered, steam-driven water pumper from the Victoria Fire Department, eh?)
