In this, the first of two videos depicting our participation in the 2011 Grey Cup Parade, we show the “story” of our day, including behind-the-scenes snapshots and capturing some pictures of other parade participants from all across Metro Vancouver. We, at least, enjoyed the cozy comfort of firefighters’ turnout gear that kept us warm and dry.
Oh, and as for the music… Vancouver legend Dal Richards wrote this catchy little tune, called simply “Lions,” as the BC Lions theme song a little while ago. We told him we’d happily pay his 5¢ royalty for each time we played this tune during the parade. We think we owe him lunch, at the very least.
(We’re still playing it in our sleep. Does that count?)
