Bright Nights in Stanley Park

One of our favourite times of the year is Christmas! One of our favourite events at Christmastime is the Bright Nights in Stanley Park Volunteer Appreciation Night.

Many (hundreds?) of firefighters volunteer their time to create a festive, sparkly Winter Wonderland by the Stanley Park Train, then invite families from the whole Lower Mainland to come and enjoy the scene. Help Metro Vancouver fire fighters support the Burn Fund by coming out and enjoying Bright Nights in Stanley Park, an annual season of festive lighting, decorations, food, and Christmas train that has raised over $1.4 million in 14 years…so far!

EVENT: Nov 30, 2012 – Burnaby Community Connections Christmas Angel Breakfast & Toy Drive

Join us as we support the Burnaby Christmas Bureau’s inaugural Christmas Angel Breakfast on Nov 30, 2012! Bring a new unwrapped toy or cash for a delicious pancake breakfast in the ballroom or a continental-breakfast-to-go. The VFRS Band will be playing from 7 am to…we’re not sure. 8 am, maybe?
