EVENT: Ocean Concrete Open House, April 30, 2011

Come on out to Ocean Concrete on Granville Island on April 30, 2011! There will be gigantic concrete trucks the kids can check out, tours, displays, and much more for the whole family to enjoy. In addition, we’ll be playing (weather permitting) for a while around lunchtime, so bring your clapping hands and tapping toes and join us for some springtime musical fun!

You might be interested to know that we are regularly reminded by one of our civilian band mates, who is a manager at Ocean Concrete, that they make and sell concrete, not cement! He keeps telling us there’s a difference when we get it wrong, which is more often than we want to admit, so we’ve linked the two terms to the relevant pages in Wikipedia. Turns out, he actually knows what he’s talking about. (Imagine that!)
